I am a new member, have a BB pearl and bought a Nextlink spider bluetooth headphone today. I am able to use the bluetooth headphone on calls. But when I play music from the media player, no sound comes out of the headphone. Does anyone know what is the problem, and how I can fix this.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the Pearl does not have A2DP, the Bluetooth stack needed to play music on stereo headsets.

As far as I know, there's nothing we can do to make it work :(

Yes, it is possible but with a couple of conditions.

First, you have to upgrade your OS to the TIM 4.2.1.66 version from the sticky in the 8100 forum.

Second, you have to use a third party media player like the one from Dollars5. Search "mediaPlayer" and you will find it.

Ok, I checked the thread for new software.
And it gave instructs in OS upgarde procedure.

The 4.2.1.66 is for TIM Italy carrier.
I am using T-mobile. Will this software be compatible with T-mobile?

I was checking in another threads that the upgrade will not work with BT Headphones, but only with BT headsets.

Can you confirm this?

Or is this only for the 4.2.1 OS, but if I upgrade the OS to 4.2.1.66 I can use it with my Nextlink BT headphone?

I am confused with this thread because right now I have no problems using my pearl with a motorola H700 BT headset

I do not own a set of Bluetooth Stereo Headphones. I don't think this update supports A2DP so BT stereo is not supported. I do know that I can listen to mp3's using my standard BT headset and this method.
