Default Stereo Bluetooth Headsets

Do any of you guys use stereo bluetooth headset with your pearl to listen to music? Do you find it works well?

I just bought these on ebay for $40 and should have them soon:

Amazon.com: Plantronics Pulsar 590E Ultimate Stereo Bluetooth® Headset for all Bluetooth Enabled Devices: Cell Phones & Service

I found something called berrytunes for managing and playing MP3s but then I saw it said it doesn't have headphone support so I thought I better make sure I will be able to use my new stereo bluetooth headset before I open the box.

I noticed there have been hacks for both PPC and palm to add A2DP support. Has there been any talk of creating a hack to add A2DP to the pearl? Or is there some limitation preventing this?

I found this workaround on another site that will allow you to play MP3 files through a bluetooth headset. It's a lot of work just to listen to music but it does seem to work:

Below is the instructions on how to listen to mp3's via bluetooth.

you have to do it in this order and exactly or it will stop.

1.open media and play music i play all and shuffle.

2.open your browser.

3.go to google and query anything that will give you a phone number link to call from the browser. (i googled road conditions phone number)

4.go to phone number and highlight it.

5. click trackball

6. click again to confirm to call the number.

7. once you are connected just hang up before first ring ends.

8.music in your ear.

make sure you do NOT go back to browser session. don't touch anything. the volume on the pearl up and down will work but dont hit the ball or return.

basically all you can do is listen to the music you can't advance or browse or anything or you lose the connection. if a call comes in while listening after the call you will have to repeat 1-8 again.

I contacted Blackberry support about A2DP support for the Pearl 8100 and got this reply:

Thank you for contacting BlackBerry Customer Support with your question about a release date for a patch to the Blackberry 8100 smartphone operating system that would permit an A2DP profile for bluetooth headsets.

As a publicly traded company, Research In Motion cannot disclose this type of information.
