I don't know how to do it with an integrated bluetooth receiver, but here is a document showing how to do it with a USB bluetooth device. I think when they refer to the Microsoft stack, they just mean that the device being used has native Microsoft drivers:

Default Where can I get XP SP2, bluetooth stack? - 04-17-2008, 11:01 PM

Hi guys,

I'm having the same problem. I have a HP laptop and I can't sync using bluetooth. Only the USB cable connection works. From the forum posts I can see that the issue is with the HP bluetooth stack and I need to install the Microsoft BT stack instead.

But how do I get the XP SP 2 stack? I managed to find the SP 1 stack installation, but it doesn't allow that to be installed in SP2.

What you need to do is first disable the HP bluetooth hardware from Device Manager. (Right Click My Computer and choose Manage.) Then just connect your MS supported BT dongle. The Windows drivers if not there will be gotten from the Internet, your internal install of Windows, or your Windows installation disk.

If that doesn't work, you can try the procedure from the Sticky at the top of this forum.

Sadly, I have tried that with my Lenovo running the Broadcom stack, and obne of the two Broadcom drivers listed under the Hardware Manager does not have an uninstall option (listed under "Actions") and when I run "scan for hardware changes" it automatically reinstalls the broadcom driver I removed and not the windows one!
