Default Texas Hold 'em 2 doesn't load - 05-03-2006, 02:56 PM

Hi all,

I recently installed Texas Hold em 2. The version of the poker software is 2.1.7. I am running Verizon's v4.1.0.117 on my 7130e Blackberry.

It installs fine. I have even un-installed, rebooted, re-installed. But when I go to load the game, it always hangs at the Texas Hold 'em King 2 screen. (The screen that shows two aces in the lower right hand corner.) I cannot seem to play this game. All keypresses are ignored and the game appears to be hung.

Any suggestions on what I can do to fix this problem?

Thanks,
Steve B.

Steve,

Where did you get your copy of the game?

Did you get the free, non-multiplayer version from the BlackBerry Help! website?
http://mobile.blackberry.com ?

Or did you purchase the multiplayer version from www.magmic.com or from another retailer, like Handango?

Does it remain frozen, or do you get an error after some time?

I downloaded originally the version offered on the BlackBerry Help! site. I later may have tried the trial version listed on magmic's website. (Not sure which version I have right now.)

But both versions exhibited the same problem of just freezing at that one screen. It stays their indefinately (as far as I can tell). I started the program yesterday, and it is still running today at that one hung screen. (The only way I can get out of that screen is to use the alt-click method to switch to someother running program.)

thanks for the help,
Steve

Remove both versions and reinstall the one you want.

How long are you waiting for it to load? Just curious because sometimes it seems like it takes a while for the game to startup and hangs at the screen you mentioned. But after waiting, the game pops up and all good after that.

Well, when I finally got down to the final two people in the World Series tournament, I beat the other person. Now, it is frozen and I have to turn the phone off just to get to my home screen. If I re-enter the game, it goes back to the frozen screen, which says I the winner. Can I fix this?
