Default Sim Problems - 08-01-2007, 04:14 PM

My 8700 is reading Insert sim card and my cingular card is in the slot can anyone help??? i am currently in europe and cant get to a store for help

I have heard that you can clean the contacts on the SIM card with a lead pencil's eraser. Try doing that to see if it is able to read the SIM card. Also, make sure the SIM card is properly inserted the correct way. A couple of times I inserted mine in backwards and had the same problem.

i wished that worked!! thanks though anything is worth a shot but i guess thats strike one for me....anyone else got anything?
