I ended an 11 year relationship with Tmo (Powertel, VoiceStream, T-Mobile) and switched to "the other side" with Verizon. 4 days before I made this switch, my 8900 track ball control froze up. The "water damage" sticker was red, so there was no good thing in my future as far as replacing it. It had never been wet, near water, or anything other than Atlanta, GA humidity! The T-Mobile rep said they had seen that before both in Atlanta and in Dallas, TX, but it was still classified as water damage so I would have to file a claim. I went through all the hoops required with Asurion to get a new replacement (which set me back a lot of $ !!!). T-mobile was just not being helpful in any way, so the day the new replacement arrived I was already making the move to Verizon. The new phone was powered up that day and I was about to transfer all my apps and data to it, then I decided that there was no point, so I went a couple days with no phone (and actually survived!).
This phone has been opened and powered up, but never used. It is
unlocked.
It includes all the items listed above, which makes it a pretty sweet deal for someone with T-Mobile or AT&T (I got it unlocked before the switch to Verizon was complete
).
All total almost $600 out of my pocket for this thing, going to someone new for a fraction of that!
