Default Big Bill to Pay ... - 08-12-2009, 03:58 PM

Hey everyone,

My friend needs help so I am looking for some advice from the wonderful people here to give him advice... this is his situation that he is in....

"Anyone with advice on dealing with Rogers on a $5000 roaming charge within Russia, after my sim card was stolen a month ago without my knowledge, and they let someone rack up the charges. I'm all ears.... I think I need a lawyer immediately. Someone help...."

Any suggestions?

Only one, see if he has any way to prove he was NOT in russia during the time of the charges.

Credit card receipts, gas receipts etc.

A lawyer might be needed, but if he can talk face to face with someone at rogers about it, showing them proof he wasnt in russia...it might get him out of it.

Seems a little late to be reporting the SIM card stolen... didn't he cancel the account when he found out it was stolen?

Sounds more like possible fraud to me. Someone got a big bill and doesn't want to pay it.
