Default UK Carrier with Blackberry Service w/o long term contract - 09-11-2009, 08:17 PM

Hi,
I am currently in the US and have a Blackberry 8900 that is unlocked. I am moving to the UK and would like to get a "Sim Card" only service that also has blackberry service on a month to month contract basis. I know all UK carriers have 30-day plans most with internet access but I could not see any with Blackberry service.

The problem is that I am not sure how long I am going to stay in the UK - I am looking for a job there but it may not work out. I will be there at least 3 months, but maybe longer. Still I don't want to commit to a long term contract (and I don't even think I can w/o job there) and then have to leave.

I am ok with my 8900 just want to be able to receive emails and use it in the UK. Any advice is appreciated!

Thanks

Then you havent been searching hard enough.

ORANGE have PAYG with BB services.
O2 and T-mobile have SIM ONLY plans with BB services.

I've been on all those websites and apart from 02 I can't find the BlackBerry services addon with sim only plans.

Here is a picture of all part of t-mobile SIM only plan selection with BIS services.
You need to go to t-mobile.
You need to select SIM only plans.
Then SELECT A PLAN.
On the next page, half way down it will ask if you want to add on the Blackberry booster.
(AS seen in the attached image).

Its easy to find!

Orange's is however less easy to find.

Both Orange UK and T-Mobile UK offer PAYG BlackBerry services.

T-mobile dont offer a PAYG service unless you buy the BB.
Unlike Orange where I believe you can just get the service.
