Odd that my Bill close is the 24th, and my service was suspended 6 days later.
Close dates are typically earlier than payment due dates -- the Close Date is when the bill is printed and sent, while the due date is when the payment is actually due.
As far as I know, it's set up that way to allow time for the bill to reach you and give you adequate time to pay it.
