Its unlikely.
They wouldn't pull a phone to make room for another, especailly not the Bold.
Its gonna take another 2-3 months after the Onyx (9700) is released in the US before it makes it to the UK.

But making me go over to the orange website made my day.
iphone coming soon to Orange! holycrap.

Default Onyx replaces Bold - 10-29-2009, 12:24 PM

I can change my Blackberry 8320 Curve from 31 October and was hoping to get the Bold 9000. Earlier today I had a conversation with somebody in Orange Sales who informed me that "... the Blackberry Bold has been removed early to make way for its replacement, the Blackberry Onyx ...". When I asked him for the release date of the Blackberry Onyx, I was informed "... late November, same as the iPhone ...". Sorry for swearing and bringing the i****e into the discussion.

Guess I will wait until end November / beginning December to get my hands on a new Blackberry Onyx.

Can't wait!!!!!

vodafone aren't pulling the bold and they have the 9700 for pre-order.

Default Blackberry 9700 - Orange - 11-17-2009, 10:16 AM

Orange are getting the 9700, it was confirmed to me by a CSR back in October, and now it's listed as coming soon.
Basically, they promised me it would be out before the end of November.

Yes, I noticed, and posted in the 9700 about it.
Vodafone have also pulled the 9000 for the 9700, but t-mobile haven't.

Orange are releasing 9700 next month. I spoke to them and they said that they are "testing" the hand set.
Some of you may remember that there were some issues with Bold 9000 and Orange threatened to withdraw it from its network. They are making sure that there is no repeat.
I was assured that Orange 9700 will have no software or hardware glitches.
