Default Help configure storm to att - 11-14-2009, 06:47 AM

I spent 5 hours trying to activate my unlocked storm on my att network, got down to the call screen, pushing ##000000 and bringing up verizon codes that need changed to att. RIM had absolutely no idea what to do, either did att. Can someone help....PLEASE, either that or I have another paperweight on my desk.
Thanks

Err.....9230?? Isn't that a CDMA phone? ATT is GSM. Incompatible hardware.

I don't believe there is a 9230.

I just went by what he has listed as his device model. Either way, so far it seems a XX30 model number indicates a CDMA phone, not a GSM. Last I checked, a Verizon phone cannot run on ATT networks.

Sorry, Daighain, the 9530 will work on GSM, in this case ATT or Tmobile. I have for the past 11 months.

Yep, works. There's a whole long thread in the 95xx section on how to do it.

One of the World Phone configurations. I didn't know any of those worked in the US. Thanks for the info, JS.

The original "world phone" BlackBerry, the 8830, was designed to work on GSM outside of North America only. Later world phone models did not have this restriction, however.
