Default Curve 8520 Vodafone - Internet Question

Please Login to Remove!

So, I've signed up to a contract on Vodafone, 500 minutes, 250 texts and 500mb of internet.

I was wondering, when does it count as actually using the 500mb of internet, at the moment I am in my house and my blackberry is connected to the internet; i can use facebook, bbm and browse the net, the "wifi" logo is lit up and it says GPRS next to my signal bar.

So, is my 500mb of bandwith being used up if i download while on wifi and is there a way to deactivate the internet so it only works with wifi and not on the network internet.. and if not, is there a way i can check how much of my bandwith i have used?

Thanks

If you are using WiFi, your allowance is not being used.

When you leave a WiFi service area, it will attach through the Vodafone network and begin using your allowance. However, you should not need to disable it as 500 MB is plenty for normal usage. If you really feel the need to disable it, you can go to Manage Connections > Mobile Network Options and set Data Services to "Off".
