Vodafone GPRS on Blackberry
 

Hi,

I have been told by the Vodafone India customer care at 111, that Vodafone does not support GPRS with blackberry. Does that mean if I have a third party application called Funambol, then that cannot be used. Also this app does not work with BIS and WiFi is not available everywhere. I have Blackberry 899 unlimited plan, which also shows GPRS as activated.

To test I have tried the Funambol application with all APN setting including www etc. But each time the application times out trying to make a connection and gives IOException.

Can somebody pl. confirm, if they have also run into the same problem. Any lights on Airtel also would be best.

you need subscribe to vodafone mobile connect plan to use www apn

Will that allow me to use (1) a 3rd party app (2) using GPRS?
