Default Sprint Blackberry 8330

Please Login to Remove!

I just bought the above Blackberry and I am having trouble trying to activate it. It was bought from someone that had it on a Sprint account and they basically bailed and still owes Sprint money. I want to put the phone on my account but can't because he has no intention of clearing the bill with Sprint. What can I do to get the phone to work or should I just sell it for parts on ebay since it is useless!! The phone is in mint condition with all the accessories in the box. Help!

Can you contact the seller to get your money back? Or maybe report it to Paypal?

You most likely won't be able to activate it since Sprint has the ESN on the account.

The seller kept telling me that I could flash the phone and now all of a sudden he is not responding. We bought it off of craigs list and paid cash. I know, dumb!!

You most likely have an expensive paper weight or door stop right now.

And next time, a read of the FAQ might help. We have an article with tips on buying a used BB on eBay - but the info applies to buying any used BB.

You might be able to flash it to MetroPCS or Cricket, but Sprint will never activate it as long as there is an outstanding balance due on the account that was linked to this BlackBerry.

I echo the sentiment to return it. File a dispute right away as this guy basically scammed you.
