Default Verizon Caller ID

Please Login to Remove!

I have a Verizon Storm 2 and my wife has a Verizon Tour and we both have the same problem.

We have contacts in the address book but sometimes when someone calls us the caller ID does not work and I only see the the telephone number calling and not the name of the person. Again the screen show the number that is calling but no name but when I look at the message after the call is over it does not even have the telephone number. Even a little stranger is it is not consistent. I had someone call me (from the same number) a few times and once it did not show the name and the other times it showed

Press your green dial key to enter your Call Log > Menu key > Options > Smart Dialing.

Make all your options there are set correctly.

I believe everything is already set properly:
country code +1
National Number length 10
Use "1" yes
local country code show United Staes and is greyed out
Wait for My Response
Extention Length Unknown
Wait for My Response

Please advise.

Also the problem is on calls into my number and I do not remember seeing the problem on outgoing calls.

Do any of your contract entries lead with a "+"?

No "+" and as I said the same person called me several times and once it did not show the name as it should and my wife on wife's BB the same issue.
