You can provided the 8100 is unlocked (SMART is GSM), but I'm not sure if they provide BlackBerry services. If they do, it might be expensive.

Data roaming charges can be a real bear. If you have another carrier that you normally use, check into their international data roaming options. Otherwise, call SMART and ask them specifically about BlackBerry data plans.

SMART definitely has Blackberry service offerings...
Unclear how good their 3G service is, though this would not be a concern with the 8100
