Studying abroad in Spain
 

I am studying abroad in spain this fall, I have the bold 9650 with sprint, and when im in spain i want to be able to use bbm so i can stay in contact with my friends n family back home. but i also would like a local number so i can call and text people in Spain. I have been looking at pay as you go sim cards that offer data plans. I know vodofone offers sims with data. Will i be able to use bbm if i get a pay as you go sim with data? Any suggestions on what sim card i should get.

Allow me to give you a somewhat partial answer. Check out the feasibility of Sprint's Global Plans. It may or may not be a better option but I will say the prices have dropped a bit in this market

Sprints prices with the plan are 1.60 per minute for calling and 50 cents per text i am thinking about going with Orange and getting a pay as you go sim card that supports the blackberry data, maybe the dolphin plan. Has anyone used this plan outside the UK?
