Default Rogers HTTP WAP connection

Please Login to Remove!

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone has had any luck establishing a WAP HTTP connection on Rogers Canada, I have tried numerous connection strings but the one I think should work is the following:

static final String URL = "http://test.server.com/stuff.xml;WapGatewayIP=20 8.200.67.150;WapGatewayAPN=internet.com;WAPGateway Port=9201;WAPSourcePort=8205";

I keep getting a WAPIOException error

I'll also tried using the following APN's
internet.com
vpn.com
blackberrry.net

I retrieved the gateway information from my service book.
Btw I get the same error on the device as well as in the sim with rport set.

Thanks for any input

Darren

Default Found it

got it working

http://www.myserve.com/test.xml;WapG...ourcePort=8205

looks like it was a combination of two things messing me up, one I was settings some headers, that as pointed out by David O'Meara gets mangled and also the APN looks like it is blackberry.net rather than the internet.com and vpn.com that is quoted in the Rogers developers documentation:
http://developerzone.rogers.com/devi...re/blackberry/

removing the headers setRequests and fixing the APN did the trick so now it is working on the device (a 7280 running 3.7.0.76).

now onto fixing that header issue . . .

Default

You can actually now use an empty string ( i.e. like your connecting to a BES/MDS ) because of the Rogers upgrade.
