Default using getAppProperty() in simulator?

Please Login to Remove!

OK I finally tracked down the error in my midlet (i'll spare you my frustration in "debugging the debugger") and found that getAppProperty() does not work in the simulator. Well for one thing when I choose File->Load Java Program... I am only given the opportunity to load .cod's, not .jad's.

How can I make the properties that I specify in the .jad available to my app? In NetBeans (where I originally developed this app), I set defaults in the project properties (Application Descriptor->Attributes) so that the .jar will load and run with all my properties (Attributes per NetBeans) set even if loaded directly (i.e., not via the .jad).
