Default Facebook App or Yahoo GO App

Does anyone know or have an idea of how these apps work? Im trying to get a feel on how hard it would be to pull off something similar. I guess I need a starting point, and I know there is no source code similar. TIA

they're simpler than they first appear, to do something similar you need to become comfortable extending field class to create your own ui widgets:

This field class in particular is very much like one used in the facebook app:

BlackBerry - HrefField

this might be a good starting point:

Blackberry - SpacerField

Thanks Jfisher. Very useful information. What are some of the most common server side solutions people are using to communicate with a BB application?

I would say both. Im trying to get an idea where to start with an application. For instance the Facebook app, any thoughts on the webservice they are using to hook the app in with the site ? (i.e. lets users authenticate and pull user specific information). I want to do sort of a fantasy sports applicaiton for mobile devices. Or even some sort of simulation type of application. Thanks for your thoughts.

Question Creating Yahoo Go! like framework on BlackBerry

Hello all,
I also want to develop a similar application like Yahoo Go! on BlackBerry. Actually, we have some 3-4 applications for our product, so we need to create a similar application like Yahoo Go! so user needs to login only once, on the home page of my application there will be links to my actual applications similar to Yahoo Go!, also user should be able to customize the applications like edit/delete/remove and so on.
I liked the yahoo Go! framework in all, and I want to create a similar one.
Most of you must have seen the Yahoo Go! on BlackBerry, so is it possible to create similar framework on BlackBerry, I know it must be , as they already did that.I already developed the applications in BlackBerry, so I am familiar with the basic BlackBerry coding concepts. So, I am thinking what will be basic requirement to create application like Yahoo Go!.

Appreciate your response..
