Default Device programming question

I have a 8703e and have been told there is no GPS on this model only on 2 other models. If I buy their software for a monthly fee I will be able to use the 8703e Blackberry as a proper GPS map tool for driving instructions etc. This sounds like Bunk to me but what do I know.

Here is an excerpt from the "Device file" found in "AppLoader" <!-- 8703e
<os radio="CDMA" series="8700" Colour="True" Theme="Normal" JVMLevel="1.0" Memory="Large" KeyboardType="Qwerty" VoiceNotes="True" MMS="True" SystemSize="normal" Sound="Tunes7130c" Bluetooth="True" JPN_Input="False">0x04000B04</os>
Here is the file for another unit that I guess is GPS enabled <!-- 8800
<os radio="GPRS" series="8800" Colour="True" Theme="Normal" JVMLevel="1.0" VoiceNotes="True" pttApp="True" Memory="Large" KeyboardType="Qwerty" Sound="Tunes8700g" SystemSize="normal" Bluetooth="True" MMS="True" GPS="True" ThemeSupport="Enhanced" VAD="True" JPN_Input="False">0x84000E03</os>

As you can see the 8800 has GPS ="True" whereas my 8703e has no mention of GPS.
I wonder if I added that statement to the 8703e line in the code if it would change anything?
Maybe it would SNAFU everything. I am a chicken to try as I dont know much about programming.

no - this just states what hardware is on the device.
