Default Idea, but need help.

I was thinking of creating an application that would allow you to input say a zip code and then the application would then retrieve a set of locations that are that zip code. All of the places would be under the same name, such as maybe a bus stop. For example if a user would put in on his or her phone say 12345, they would get the results of all the bus locations in that zip code. What would be the best way to approch this type of application.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

That's actually a decent idea! There are some apps similar but those are for businesses! Not sure how to get that stated though beyond my competence

create maybe a online database that stores a list of all the bus stops and there location and the just query this database with the seached post code ie SELECT bus stop, FROM bus stop table WHERE post code searched = the post code field from the table.

it should return a new table with only the bus stops that are in that particular post code area. you would need to know abit of SQL to achieve such a query but thats what i would do anyway. do that and you more or less done the project

Default Good Idea

That sounds like a good way, that is what i was thinking, by using a web based server to access the information. I have a sample form submit application that right now allows you to input the zip code and send a location and it stores it in the data base. Now all i have to do is figure out how to input the zip code and then have all the locations returned in a drop down list. That when a location is selected it provides the address and image from that location.
