I use similar codes to yours and go thru all possible options of Font.PLAIN, Font.BOLD, Font.EXTRA_BOLD, Under line ... and all show correctly except the EXTRA_BOLD.

Tested on 8700g simulator and on reall device 8820. Ectra Bold shows italic.

I think the problems can be two:

1) The system font on the device is different. You should check the device font. Options -> Screen/Keyboard

2) Maybe the size of the font is different. But i think this is not a problem. The text should look bold enough.

You are right. I looked at my code again and there was a typo and the index was running from 0 to 63 instead of 64, which is integer value for EXTRA_BOLD.

Ah, shamed of me.
