Default PIN validation

Please Login to Remove!

Hello All,

I did look about for an answer but found nothing, so sorry if this gets asked here all the time.

Is there anyway of validating a pin number ..... anyway at all.
Maybe not validation as in, is the pin in use ... but some sort of syntax check.

Thanks alot,

You're looking to see if the PIN specified for a recipient message is valid/active? ie you put in a PIN and you want to know if there is someone home at the other end?

I don't think there is without sending a message and waiting for delivery confirmation.

You aren't going to make a PIN spamming list based on confirmation returns you get are you?

cd.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
Do you think there is a min number the PIN's start from? or is the only thing I can assume is a PIN number is greater than or equal to 8 digits long?
.... I was hoping that there might be a mod 10 check type thing or something.

As for the spamming thing .... "How dare you!" ;) .... I am not spamming or doing anything bogus..... I am doing a website for BlackBerry users and just want to validate when they enter the PIN number.

thanks again.

The spamming thing was actually kind of a joke... I know that at this point the PIN's all start with the same first 2 digits I believe... there is a set for each GSM, iDen & CDMA versions. Someone on here mentioned it not too long ago maybe a quick search for "pin iden gsm cdma" might find it. If you can't find it let me know and I will have a look.
