Default BlackBerry Custom Fields - 03-18-2008, 02:57 PM

My senior design team is attempting to create an application that needs two types of fields: a table for displaying data, and a text field that lets the user type in text and automatically display a dropdown of possible choices. The text field would basically be an auto-suggest/predict-text field, but the dictionary of words needs to be fixed and customizable.

Does anyone know of possible open-source implementations of these widgets, or would anyone have advice as to how to extend the RIM library to create these custom components?

the table should be manageable using the draw-methods of graphics.
the choicefield would be quite hard - if possible at all. an easy workaround would be a combination of two fields, one to enter text and another to display the results.
