Default Help a newbie. :) - 07-19-2005, 02:46 PM

Hello all!

I'm trying to write a network application. I'm familiar with Java, but I have no idea how to write codes that allows the blackberry to use the internet. Will you please paste a very simple functional client code that connects to a hardcoded URL to help me understand the concept? Thanks!

HTTP connectivity needs to happen in a thread seperate from the UI and doesn't lend itself well to a quick example.

I suggest you check out Chapter 5 in the Developer's Guide as well as the httpdemo sample app.
