|  Numeric data entry on ASP page using HTML rendering

Would anyone know if there is any way to set the input on the blackberry to be numeric only whilst rendering HTML(not WML). It seems to work on a WML page with the format property set but it doesn't seem to work with html. Can we somehow achieve this or have a way to turn on/off the Alt key while the user enters the text on a HTML page. We are not using Java but ASP.
