Default developing Progress bar

Hi,

I am developing a userinterface on blackberry for search.
As a user clicks on search button it takes time to search.
while searching it look as the device is hanged.
so while searching i want to display a progress bar to the user which will get invisible as the search result comes.
but i have no idea how to do that.

can any body help me??

net.rim.device.api.ui.component.GaugeField should do it.

in addition you can put your search into a seperate thread, this will allow the user to continue with the ui
