Angry Unable to access network from BlackBerry simulator - 05-12-2008, 02:56 AM

Hi,
I need some help to solve this problem. I am new to BB programming. I want to access net from BB simulator. I am working on Windows XP, have McAfee antivirus installed.
Using : BlackBerry JDE 4.3.0
Server : Tomcat 5.5 to deploy web application
Java : 1.5.12

I have tried accessing custom web application (http://localhost:8084/XServlet), a text file (http://localhost:8084/test.txt), any other site (like google).
I am getting either InterreptedIOException local connection timed out after ~120000 . Or status code 403 (forbidden access)

In all cases MDS simulator is running.

thanks Ivanov,
I have found the solution for the simulator. I have modified the rimpublic.property file.
Added

application.handler.http.proxyEnabled=true
application.handler.http.proxyHost=**.***.**.**
application.handler.http.proxyPort=****

to enable proxy. Changed the localhost to IP address. And simulator works fine.
