Post Add ti Address Book - Web Programming

Has anyone used the wtai convention (or any other convention) to successfully add fields to the address book other than simply the phone number? WAP docs suggest that name, and other related fields could be added, but no success so far. My application is a web app. Any clues would be appreciated. Scenario is, click on a link and backing html conveys phone number, name, etc to the address book app of blackberry.
