Default value set to size attribute on text input element not honoured

Please Login to Remove!

Hi
I have a text input element markup as

<input type="text" size="11" />

When this input element is rendered, the text box size (that is the number of characters that can be visibly seen while typing) is around 2.5 times to 3 times more than the specified "size" (in above case it is 11) based on different BB models. This is the case when i try out on Emulators.

The size is either 25 or close to 33 based on the model. That is i can visbilily type 25 to 33 characters. To summarise the size set for text input element is not honoured and this is causing layouts to break which is casuing the controls to overflow.

Is this a know bug?. Is there a way i can query BlackBerry bug db to idenfity the bugs. If there is one can anyone give the link to the bugdb.

Thanks,
Vijay Venkataraman
