Default Read Email Signature?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

does anybody know, if it's possible to read the e-mail signature of your BlackBerry? I want to send e-mails inside my application and append the signature. I looked through the APIs, but I can't any method/class for this.

Thanks for the answer, but maybe you should check the forum before answering a thread ;)

If you create a new Message object, and send it using Transport.send(), the email system will append the user's signature for you.

...if I am understanding your requirement...?

Hi, sorry, I didn't know that's the case. I was under the impression, that you had to append it manualy. Thanks.

Default So is it possible to make it not do this (not add the default sig)?

I am sending an email using the standard Transport.send(msg), and am getting the (expected) email sig attached, but I do not want it in this case. Is there any way programmatically to prevent it from being added?
