Default problems with HTTP connection on telus with an 8830

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys,

I'm having a small problem. I'm running a little HTTP app that works fine on the 8830, and even the 8100 on the Rogers network (after I updated the APN settings).

However on an 8830 on the Telus network it won't connect. According to the BBFAQ the TCP/IP should be automatically set up, but obviously it isn't. We have called them and they said that if the browser works then everything should be fine (which obviously isn't the case!)

Also, I am appending the ";deviceside=true" to the end of all URL's I am trying to access.

Is there something that I'm missing, or is this a problem on Telus's end?

As far as I know the 8830 doesn't run on the iDEN network, does it?
