Default dispaying an animated gif files

Hi,

Can anyone please tell me how to display an animated gif file in the blackberry UI application?

I have heard that a .gif file gets converted to .png file..

Currently i'm able to see only the first frame..

hence assist me for the same..

there was a discussion somewhere about it. I remember the trick was to get the frames of the gig using a timer and update the field with the current frame.

i still got a problem when try the example at that link.

btw,
what should i do, if i want to use several images than use animated gif?

just change them like the frames and update the screen/field
