Default Debuger stopped working out of nowhere - 07-17-2008, 03:26 PM

i was using the debuger all the time, it was perfect
and out of no where, i tried to debug and it never got out of that loading page

with Debugger attaching...
i tryed executing different projects...and whatever
it never works
all the time that i use the debugger it locks on the loading and i have to use ctrl+alt+del to restart the program...
i already tryed unisntalling and installing the DJE...and it still on the same thing

anyone has any idea of what might be happenning or something i could try?

You need to clean up the simulator directory. This is required from time to time with the BlackBerry simulator.

Locate your simulator directory (Program Files / Research in Motion / Blackberry JDE xx.xx / Simulator ).

You can delete all of your COD and DEBUG files manually, then remove the *.dmp files, or you can run the clean.bat script (which takes awhile but removes everything that was not in the original installation).

If you are not certain which files to remove, just run the clean.bat.

I have the same problem and noticed this thread. I tried clean.bat but it still doesn't fix it. It just hangs there on "Debbuger attaching..." until I ctrl-alt-del it.

Any suggestions?

yea, the first time i did it, it didn't fix it...try closing the JDE, then execute the clean.bat again
then open the jde and try it

One more solution that worked for me (in some cases):

Use File->'Erase simulator file' options in the JDE.
