An ALX is used to install an application via the Desktop Manager or Software Configuration. It includes applicaiton metadata such as name, version, required modules, etc.

Hi:

Thanks for answer. Can you pls respond to the below queries.

Where is the Database being saved / stored in the simulator/SDK when the user adds the information in the user screen at Simulator Application?

If it is a file what is the extension of that File?

Is it database file separated for every series of simulator?
I am not getting my database from one simulator to another simulator.
Pls let me know at the earliest...how can i overcome this database problem.

Also in BB Simulator, do we have the facility of changing applet directory path at Simulator?

Thanks for your comments...

Regards,
Vijay kumar.

Look in the Simulator directory, and you will see each model with two extensions (.bat and .xml). After you run one, you get quite a few more files/extensions, such as .log, .dmp, etc. I would say these are going to be the handheld's 'database'.
