Default sound problems - Alert.startaudio sounds staccato

Please Login to Remove!

Are there any other ways to play sound on blackberry other than the
Alert.StartAudio function which plays a given frequency and waits a specified amount of time. I don't like the staccato-like effect of the tones.

Also, I would prefer to play wave or mp3 files, or even midi files. In detail, how do you do this. Im having a hard time following the multimedia guide.

Thank you

Forget about Alert.startAudio unless you are on a tone-only device. Look at Manager.createrPlayer() for MP3's.
