Is it possible to HTTP post information to a server without having what the user sees refresh? Namely, I just want to send info to the server in the background.

Could you clarify what you mean by "having what the user sees refresh"?

If I understand the question, the user is using the Browser on the hand held, and you want to send information back to the server without loading a new page. There may be some Java script functions that will do this, though you will have to limit yourself to the Java script supported by the Blackberry browser (or some third party browser).

if I understand the question, quantim5, you should utilize a Thread to send and receive information.

Initialize the thread when you need it, this way your UI Thread won't be blocked
