Default

maybe you are not in your applications context, for example because you are trying to do so from a listener?
you can use invokelater on your application object to get into the context and call system.exit then

Default using listener

i'm new to j2me because usually i code web pages in vb.net so yes i'm a newbie. i'm using a location listener and getting coordinates of phone when user enters in info and clicks button (using fieldlistener for button). the location listener listens every 30 seconds and i just want to grab coordinates once and be done. if could help me to get back out of listeners or how to make location listener only listen once would be great.

thanks
