Default How to create separate rectangle areas, like in Blackberry 4.5

Please Login to Remove!

In the new blackberry 4.5 simulators, when creating a new task or calendar appointment, there are areas that are separated in rectangles

how do I create that kind of manager, is it something built in?

Here is an example.

These are probably internal fields but you could easily build one that looks like it. Just extend VerticalFieldManager and override paint. Use fillRoundRect to achieve the rounded rectangles.

OK, thats what i was thinking
Extend VerticalFieldManager, set the background color gray.

but how do i get the sizes of the elements that I'm painting in paint, so i know to put the into position and paint them in the fillRoundedRect?

BTW, thanks alot for you comment ;-D

You can override subpaint in VerticalFieldManager.

Then you can call getExtent() to get the XYRect that describes the relative position and width and height of the manager. Use those values to fill the round rect.
