Hi All

I have some queries:

a.Is it possible to terminate an application running in a blackberry?
b.If it is.. can the app be alerted so that it can preform cleanup operations?

If you have control over the application that must be terminated, you might implement a global event that instructs the application to perform an orderly shutdown.
