Default Floating loading screen

Please Login to Remove!

hi

Does anyone know how we can add a floating loading screen on a main screen. By floating loading screen i mean to say that when it is added i should be still able to access the mainscreen components. (like in gmail when we scroll down more emails are loaded and a loadiing screen is shown but we still can go up and down and access other mails while the loading screen is shown.)
what i find is when i add a small screen on my main screen the whole applications gets locked and i cannot access the mainscreen. Does anyone hv any idea.

Thanks in advance

I am not an expert in BB but I don't think this can be done in the normal way. May be you need to dynamically add a 'please wait..' field to the screen and then remove it when done. As an alternative, what I would recommend is to use the status field for displaying the 'please wait...' progress bar. This would be more elegant and easy to implement.

If you don't want the main screen to lock you will have to move your loading mechanisms onto another CPU thread.

All they do in gmail is draw a round rect in their screen's paint routine after the call to super. You could employ a similar technique.
