My experience is that the border on the PopupScreen is controlled by the current theme. I'm not sure there is a way to defeat this.

Yes. I came to the same conclusion.

But as it turns out, current theme not only dictates effects such as borders but the position of the popup too !

I was testing the app on 8810 simulator (which uses BB Dimension Zen theme) and have found out that the popup looked differently on my 8810 Phone with Vodafone Today theme. (it moved my window more to upper left)

Is there a way to circumvent such behavior?

I will open a new thread on the subject. (theme-choice-dictating-popup-window-placement)

Thanks for your input.

One other theme-related issue: The theme will control the foreground color of the popup when it is GLOBAL, yet the application controls the background. This creates a situation where a dark theme (like iBerry) forces a white font color, yet we are painting a light-colored background on the popup. The result is unreadable text on the popup.
