need help with auto-run on startup

could someone help me walk through on how to get an application to auto-run on startup?

i've been trying to get my application to auto-run, but it doesn't seem to be work. am i missing something?

here is what i'm doing:
* project properties (project type is CLDC, Auto-run on startup is checked, Startup Tier is 7)
* build my project
* i run signaturetool.jar, load the .cod and click request and provide my password
* signaturetool says my file is signed, but when i load it on my blackberry, it does not run on startup...
