Default Shared Objects/Resource

I have a library that will/could be used by several applications on the device. Is there a way to share an instance of an object between all applications instances using my library.

For example i have a shared resource on the device and i'd like to make sure only one application is accessing it at a time. It could be an ipc lock/mutex etc.. or having all instances of the application using the same instance of the object i use to access the shared resource.

I'm targetting the Bold at the moment hopefully the storm soon.
