question about wrighting an app
i was wondering is it posable to wright a bigger app and put it on a media card and when its started to only load a small portion of it on to the os to start working. and then as it needs more info go back to the media card and load that info and get rid of the info thats not being used. i know the app would run a little bit slower going back and forth so much. but i would be fine with that.
is that posable? i was thiking maybe it could be a way around the limited space on the BB and then be able to run bigger programs
How big is your application that you believe this to be necessary?
Have you already hit some limit that I'm not aware of?
Charles, what you are thinking of is not possible. BlackBerry applications cannot be installed on the SD card.
Apps can read data from the SD card though, so if your app needs access to lots of data writing it so that it gets it from the SD card can be an option.
hmmm ok well i have no idea at this point but i was kicking around a few ideas trying to see how it could be done i guess reading data from an sd card would be the best course of action. and making the loader as the app .. im thinking the oldschool game called dungon hack or demons gate wondering if rewriting it that way would be worth the trouble. probly not. hmm need to do somthing more thinking and planing
thanks for your time and help
