Sick of a FileNotFoundException in Blackberry JDE

Post Sick of a FileNotFoundException in Blackberry JDE

Hello Everyone,

Whenever i run any damn project in Blackberry JDE, in every 5 min i get an error message (Dialog Box) on JDE screen showing

"java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\ProgramFiles\Research In Motion\Blackberry JDE 4.2.1 \bin\Settings.rc(Access is denied)"

I am not able to get why is this coming. Please help me out to get rid of it.

Sounds like you are running Vista to me. You would need to grant your user account write rights on all the stuff inside the folder where your JDE is installed.

Been there, done that. My eventual fix was to ditch Vista and install everything on an XP box.

You might also try starting the JDE in "Administrator mode".
