Default Control a dialog layout

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

I want to have a customized popup dialog, so I've been playing with extending the Dialog as well as DialogFieldManager, however I have not been successful in changing the layout.

I want to be able to put my fields first, and then put the Button(s) at the bottom of the dialog. What I am seeing is because the Dialog constructor needs parameters, its is defining the layout with icon/buttons first, and then my fields added all below the button.

I would appreciate any tips or examples.

Cheers,
Eric

You might have more success if you inherit from PopupScreen. I believe one of the constructor parameters is a FieldManager.

Thanks, Aric ... that was the tip to get me in the right direction. It's doing what I want now with the layout using a popup screen.

I dunno why I insisted on trying to work it with the Dialog; I guess I found an example somewhere that showed extending the Dialog with custom fields, but the layout was not adjustable, and I just got stuck in a rut.

Cheers,
Eric
