Default batch files to compile

Please Login to Remove!

I'm kinda pissed that I have to open JDE 4.1 to compile to those bb models and have to open 4.2 to compile for the other (given that 4.1 Os doesn't have resizeImage32 method, my splash screen looks awefull on 4.1 OS models) i'd like to write a batch file so when I want to compile to one version i just double click that batch file and when I want to compile to other version, the other batch file, simple huh?

I copied the compile code from the output window on the respective JDE but i'm having issues with the spaces on the directory paths. Any idea on how to solve this withouth having to replace each space with %20?

We have an in-house build system, so I'm not sure exactly how to do this using batch files, but our inhouse system uses double quotes to surround the paths, which complete/expand well in a windows cmd line environment. I would assume the details would depend on your build system.

The irritating bit is that our BlackBerry dev tree is the only one that has to be built separately using a Windows build system, whilst everything else at the company is built in one shot using a UNIX build server. Even though the BB stuff is written in Java, some bits of it, like the path separator, I believe, are hardcoded into the required binaries to the Windows style - which is just lazy programming on the part of RIM (making an assumption here).

BTW: If it's just a matter of splash screen, our apps use one splash screen carefully rendered to center well on the 240x160, 240x240, 240x260, 320x240 and higher resolutions. Having part of an image render "offscreen", even to the negative coordinate system, is safe on the device, so as long as your splash screen "content" is centered, rendering a large splash screen to vertical and horizonal center will look good on any BB screen resolution.
