Default PhoneListener not writing to the app log file

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

We have a blackberry app that listens to the PhoneListener events. The app also has a log file in file:///store/home/user/abc/log.txt". All the application logs gets written here except for the log entries in the class that implements PhoneListener events.

I know that listener events are fired in a different process context. Is there a way for the phonelistener to write to the app log file?

Also, in our Logger class, whenever there is any exception in accessing the output stream of log.txt file, we write to the log.err file. This log.err get populated with the phonelistener logs in Blackberry Bold and Blackberry Storm (JDE 4.7), but not in Blackberry World Edition (JDE 4.2). Is there a way (by means of permissions or any other workaround) for the JDE 4.2 phonelistener to write to the log file?

Thanks
srividhya
